Several players and coaches have had cancer personally affect their families, and the team sold t-shirts, bracelets and other items during a Pink Out game to raise money. They decided to donate all of the proceeds to help patients who are receiving treatment at the cancer center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;Teaching the boys about giving to others was a great way to end the season,&#8221; project organizer Jennifer Reinboth said. &#8220;We can&#8217;t wait to increase this amount next year and challenge other LPS teams to do the same!&#8221;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Members of Standing Bear High School&#8217;s football team raised $850 for Bryan Health&#8217;s new April Sampson Cancer Center this fall.
