Silver Hawks showcase kindness with valentines

Southwest High School students showcased their caring hearts this winter by creating Valentine’s Day gifts for elementary students and teachers.

Dozens of Silver Hawks spent time crafting heartfelt messages for Lakeview Elementary School friends in their social studies classes. Southwest teachers Lisa Bales and Dennis Hershberger guided the high schoolers in their Term 3 Pay It Forward projects. They used markers, pens, stickers and colored pieces of paper for their creative valentines.

The activity reinforced the importance of kindness for the Silver Hawks. Their messages featured inspiring phrases meant to give everyone at Lakeview a smile.
