Scott Students Step Up for Food Bank of Lincoln
Scott Middle School sixth graders helped the greater Lincoln community this winter with a weeklong food drive. Dozens of sixth grade A team (6A) students and their teachers organized the food drive, which will benefit the Food Bank of Lincoln.
Scott Principal Jesse Tvrdy said she was proud of all of the Stars and their families. They donated hundreds of canned and non-perishable items for the facility.
“Their teachers put in a ton of work to do this massive project in Humanities class, where they will also do a fundraiser for a nonprofit of their choice,” Tvrdy said.
Scott students are continuing to prepare for the school’s 13th annual Make a Difference Project, which will be held May 1.
