Members of Standing Bear High School’s football team raised $850 for Bryan Health’s new April Sampson Cancer Center this fall. Several players and coaches have had cancer personally affect their families, and the team sold t-shirts, bracelets and other items during a Pink Out game to raise money. They decided to donate all of the proceeds to help patients who are receiving treatment at the cancer center.

“Teaching the boys about giving to others was a great way to end the season,” project organizer Jennifer Reinboth said. “We can’t wait to increase this amount next year and challenge other LPS teams to do the same!”
