<\/p>\n

Lincoln High School will host its annual IB Academy Day on Saturday, November 8th from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. for sixth, seventh, and eighth-grade students and their parents. Our half-day program will help attendees better understand what the International Baccalaureate (IB) program is, and why it is a premier experience for high school students in the city of Lincoln.<\/p>\n

Each part of the morning is designed to help students and their parents explore whether or not the IB program is a good fit for them. Because of the size and scope of the day’s events, students and\/or parents are asked to arrive before 8:00 a.m. Parents are not required to attend with their students but are encouraged to do so.<\/p>\n

The day will include:<\/b>
1.\u00a0 A program overview session conducted by J.P. Caruso, our IB Program Coordinator
2.\u00a0 Academic Planning and Learning Advice within the IB held by our IB School Counselor, Niki Barnes
3. Teacher-led breakout sessions related to each of the six core IB academic subject areas
4.\u00a0 Q and A Panel Discussions with current IB students and teachers
5.\u00a0 Student presentations highlighting the IB Core, including the Theory of Knowledge Course and Exhibition, CAS (service learning) Experiences, and the Extended Essay (Honors Thesis).<\/p>\n

Check-in will begin at 7:30 a.m. with coffee, fruit, and bagels. The formal start of the day will begin promptly at 8:00 a.m. We expect the day to end at approximately noon.<\/p>\n

Registration will close on November 2, 2025.\u00a0 Students who don’t register by the deadline can still attend, but will have their breakout sessions that they will attend selected for them.<\/span><\/span><\/h4>\n
