Deb and Joy are coming each Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 to read with students. Deb is a former Math teacher at Lincoln High School and Joy is a certified therapy dog who loves to have students read to her. This will be their 4th year at Eastridge. Welcome back, Deb and Joy!

Great News! 2nd and 3rd grade students will attend a special assembly on September 22nd with author Jerry Pallotta. His book series Who Would Win? is very popular at our library. He will be in Nebraska for the annual Plum Creek Festival and our school was chosen for a special author visit.

Students are busy learning how to use Destiny Discover to look for new books. Click on the Destiny Discover icon (1 leaf), log in, click on the big blue box, look for your name, and click “My Stuff”. You can see what books are checked out. Go back home and use the ribbon to search categories and genres or type a title or topic into the search bar to see what books are available. Students are also practicing navigating the ebooks sites such as Sora, Comics Plus and Lightbox books.
