This is nice because it maintains the link between the task and the Google Doc, making it easier to follow up at a later date.<\/p><p>From a <strong>Google Doc:<\/strong><\/p><ol><li>In the document, type <code><strong>@task<\/strong><\/code>\u00a0and press\u00a0<strong>Enter.<\/strong><\/li><li>In the popup window, enter a <strong>Title<\/strong>, choose the <strong>assignee<\/strong>, and pick a <strong>due date<\/strong> (optional) from the calendar.<\/li><li>To assign the task, click\u00a0<strong>Add<\/strong>.<\/li><\/ol><p>When you assign a task to someone, they receive an email notification. They can view the task in their personal Tasks list and on their Google Calendar if the task has a set date. <strong><a
