When you change your LPS password your web browser (Firefox, Safari, Chrome, etc.)\u00a0does not know this and continues trying to log you in with incorrect credentials. That can create an awfully frustrating situation every time you try to login with your new password.<\/p>\n

NOTE:<\/strong> From a security standpoint, we recommend that you NOT<\/strong> allow your web browser to \u201cremember\u201d your LPS password. In order to remember it actually stores a local copy of your password that anyone with a few seconds of access to your computer may be able to view. However, our experience tells us that many of you may have clicked the \u201cremember password\u201d button at one point or another.<\/p>\n

The following instructions will help you tell your web browser to \u201cforget\u201d your old passwords and should remove the locally stored copy of your password.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Firefox<\/h3>\n

Original Instructions from Mozilla<\/a><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. On the menu bar, Mac Users: click on the Firefox<\/strong> menu and select Preferences<\/strong>… Windows Users: click on the Tools<\/strong> menu and select Options<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  2. Click the Security<\/strong> panel.<\/li>\n
  3. Click Saved Passwords<\/strong>… and the Password Manager will open.\n
      \n
    1. \u2043 To remove a username and password, select it from the list and click Remove<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
    2. \u2043 To remove all stored usernames and passwords, click Remove All<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
    3. After confirming this choice, \u00a0your stored usernames and passwords will be deleted.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      \"\"<\/a>Safari<\/h3>\n

      Original Instructions from Apple<\/a><\/p>\n

        \n
      1. Choose Safari<\/strong> > Reset Safari<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
      2. Deselect any items you do not want to reset. In our case we want to make sure to mark \u201cRemove saved names and passwords<\/strong>\u201d<\/li>\n
      3. Click \u201cReset<\/strong>\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
        After resetting Safari, you should visit the AutoFill pane of Safari preferences to specify that Safari should NOT automatically fill in user names and passwords on webpages you visit.<\/div>\n

        Original Instructions from Google<\/a><\/p>\n

        1. At the top right, click your\u00a0Profile<\/strong>\u00a0image and then the small “key” icon labeled\u00a0Passwords<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
        2. In the list of saved passwords, click the X<\/strong> to the right of any website in the list to remove that specific password from Chrome.
          \nTo clear all your saved passwords,           clear browsing data<\/a> and select “Passwords<\/strong>.”<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          1. Open Internet Explorer by clicking the Start<\/strong> button.
            \nIn the search box, type Internet Explorer, and then, in the list of results, click Internet Explorer.<\/li>\n
          2. Click the Tools<\/strong> button, point to Safety<\/strong>, and then click Delete browsing history<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
          3. Select the check box next to each category of information you want to delete.<\/li>\n
