LPS Early Childhood Weekly Update 5/18/2020
LPS Early Childhood families,
We have made it to the end of the 2019-2020 school year. Thank you for your continued support and collaboration. We will also continue to provide information for families over the summer. Please continue to check your email for this information. Please note: For families who receive early intervention and services coordination services, because those services are provided year round, the providers and services coordinators will continue to provide services remotely until it is safe for our staff to return to providing services in your child’s natural environment.
Celebrate Lincoln’s Class of 2020 on May 24 at 8:20 p.m.
Lincoln Public Schools is asking for the community’s help in honoring and celebrating this year’s graduating class. On Sunday, May 24, at 8:20 p.m. (20:20 military time), we encourage everyone in Lincoln to step outside or open their windows to cheer this year’s seniors on what would have been the regularly scheduled graduation day for approximately 3,000 students. High school seniors will then be able to walk into their neighborhoods wearing their caps and gowns and hear the celebrations across the city. Thank you for your help in celebrating the Class of 2020!
Every year we honor the end of the school year with a special display of photos and videos celebrating the last week of school. This year is no exception! Celebrate the end of this unique school year with us on our #LastWeekLPS webpage. Show us how you are finishing the school year strong and celebrating your accomplishments. You can also use this as an opportunity to thank your teachers and wish your classmates a great summer. Here’s how you can participate during the week of May 18-21:
