Representatives of the Superintendent\u2019s staff will notify local news media when inclement weather warrants such action.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-9aee41a elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"9aee41a\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Announcing Closures<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-85f717c elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"85f717c\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Lincoln Public Schools announces school closures in the following ways<\/p><p><strong>Immediately<\/strong><\/p><ul><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lps.org\/\">Front page of LPS.ORG<\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/lincolnpublicschools\">Facebook<\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"http:\/\/twitter.com\/lpsorg\">Twitter<\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/lincolnpublicschools\/\">Instagram<\/a><\/li><li>Local news media<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>Before 10:00 p.m. or after 5:45 a.m. depending on time of decision<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>Phone call<\/li><li>Text message<\/li><li>Email<\/li><\/ul><p>Personal messaging (phone\/text\/email) preferences can be setup in Synergy (<a href=\"https:\/\/synergyvue.lps.org\">login<\/a>). Please contact your home school if you do not have access to Synergy.<\/p><p>The information\u00a0<span style=\"font-size: 1em;\">is also shared regularly by local media via their own airwaves, publications, websites and social media accounts.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-9aefee0 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"9aefee0\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Decision to Close Schools<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-27e10cd elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"27e10cd\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Lincoln Public Schools has developed a mass communication system to assist in notifying parents of school closings due to weather. In addition, the district will broadcast information through LPS social media and will continue to notify all media outlets of any school closing due to weather. If school is closed during the day parents should have a plan in place to accommodate these circumstances.
