Aracely Acosta

In this video, a dedicated music teacher reflects on their journey into education, rooted in childhood memories of what school was like for her. Aracely grew up in a bilingual school in Lafayette, Colorado, where both Spanish and English were spoken. She brings that same inclusive spirit into her own classroom at Elliott Elementary, making space for students’ languages, cultures, and identities.

Aracely proves that music class is a place where students build confidence, practice patience, and feel part of something bigger. The message is clear: the classroom is about more than lessons; it’s about how students feel when they are in her class. Supported, encouraged, and seen.
