Three first year teachers step into classrooms of their own for the first time, carrying equal parts excitement and hope. As they prepare their spaces for students, they reflect on what drew them to teaching, the educators and experiences that shaped them, and the kind of classrooms they hope to create. They talk about building trust, helping students feel seen and supported, and accepting that their first year will come with mistakes and lessons of its own but at the same time will teach them to become the educators they want to be.
