Chairman von Gillern and members of the Revenue Committee:

The Lincoln Public School District opposes LB 1257. The major fundamental changes proposed in LB 1257 require substantive modeling and analysis to determine the impact on students across the state. Dramatically reducing the maximum tax levy and distributing funding much more heavily on a per student basis will have major consequences as it relates to funding schools across the state.

Sincerely,

Liz Standish
