The Nebraska Languages Association is a professional organization dedicated to the support and promotion of the teaching of languages in the state of Nebraska. The organization annually recognizes outstanding Nebraska educators and supporters of world language education at its fall conference.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-42822ce elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"42822ce\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Explanation<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-9a27eae elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"9a27eae\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Moore Middle School French teacher Sarah Klankey began teaching at Lincoln Public Schools in 2023. Klankey was awarded the 2025 French Teacher of the Year by the Nebraska Languages Association and the Nebraska Association of Teachers of French at their fall conference.<\/p><p>LPS teachers Stephanie Miller and Sara Parkening nominated Klankey for the Nebraska Association of Teachers of French honor, saying they have been impressed with her leadership and enthusiasm:<\/p><p><em>\u201cSarah has innovative ideas and takes the little things into consideration when working on curriculum planning. She is passionate about teaching French and enjoys imparting her knowledge to her students at Moore Middle School.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-4cef202 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"4cef202\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Proposal<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-46e7d42 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"46e7d42\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>That the Lincoln Board of Education adopt the following resolution:<\/p><p>WHEREAS, Sarah Klankey, Moore Middle School French teacher has been named the 2025 Nebraska French Teacher of the Year; and<\/p><p>WHEREAS, Sarah Klankey continuously and exuberantly displays a passion for teaching French and is a champion for World Languages; and<\/p><p>WHEREAS, Sarah Klankey creates engaging lessons that encourage students to explore French and other World Languages; and<\/p><p>WHEREAS, Sarah Klankey is valued, respected and admired among her colleagues, not only at her school, but also across Lincoln Public Schools and the state of Nebraska;<\/p><p>NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Lincoln Board of Education<br \/>does hereby congratulate Sarah Klankey for being named the 2025 Nebraska French Teacher of the Year by the Nebraska Languages Association and the Nebraska Association of Teachers of French.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Background Moore Middle School teacher Sarah Klankey was honored as the 2025 French Teacher of the Year by the Nebraska Languages Association (NEBLA) and the Nebraska Association of Teachers of French.
