In 2022, Lincoln Public Schools K-12 Music Teacher Leader Judy Bush was honored at the Nebraska Music Education Association (NMEA) annual banquet with the Bryan R. Johnson Distinguished Service Award. NMEA is a non-profit organization of music educators which provides continuing education opportunities, recognition, scholarships, and advocacy to members and education, auditions, competitions, and performance opportunities to their students.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Judy Bush teaches music at McPhee Elementary School and serves as a K-12 music teacher leader within Lincoln Public Schools in the Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment Department.<\/p>

Judy was honored with the Bryan R. Johnson Distinguished Service Award during the 2022 annual banquet hosted by the Nebraska Music Education Association (NMEA).<\/p>

That the Lincoln Board of Education adopt the following resolution:<\/p>

WHEREAS, Judy Bush serves as K-12 music teacher leader at Lincoln Public Schools and music teacher at McPhee Elementary School, and was recently awarded the Bryan R. Johnson Distinguished Service Award during the 2022 annual banquet hosted by the Nebraska Music Education Association; and<\/p>

WHEREAS, Judy Bush exhibits thoughtful and positive leadership in collaborating with music teachers at not only Lincoln Public Schools, but across our state and nation; and<\/p>

WHEREAS, Judy Bush is committed to the success of students exploring their passions in music and the arts, and provides opportunities for all students to discover their musical abilities; and<\/p>

WHEREAS, Judy Bush is valued, respected and admired among her colleagues, not only at Lincoln Public Schools, but also across the state of Nebraska and the United States;<\/p>

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Lincoln Board of Education does hereby congratulate Judy Bush for being honored with the Bryan R.
