In June 2023, Kyle Poore was named a 2023 Emerging Industry Leader by the National Center for Spectator Sports Safety and Security (NCS4). NCS4 is an academic center devoted to the study and practice of sports safety and security at the University of Southern Mississippi. The center\u2019s Emerging Industry Leader Award recognizes a young professional who demonstrates outstanding leadership in addressing safety and security issues. Recipients also set an example for others to follow from their commitment to this area.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Lincoln Public Schools Security Coordinator Kyle Poore was named a 2023 Emerging Industry Leader by the National Center for Spectator Sports Safety and Security (NCS4). Kyle joined the LPS security team after 16 years in the classroom. He spent the past four years helping to develop and implement security protocols and procedures that align with industry best practices – most recently expanding the focus to LPS athletic and activity events.<\/p>

LPS Security Director Joseph Wright said:<\/p>

\u201cKyle is an asset to our district’s security efforts. His life experiences as an educator and first responder bring valuable knowledge and experience to our team. NCS4’s recognition of Kyle’s vision for LPS speaks to all the hard work he has done to bring us to where we are today and where we will go in the future.\u201d<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

That the Lincoln Board of Education adopt the following resolution:<\/p>

WHEREAS, Kyle Poore, LPS Security Coordinator has been named an Emerging Industry Leader by the National Center for Spectator Sports Safety and Security; and<\/p>

WHEREAS, Kyle Poore displays innovation and a solutions-oriented approach to safety; and<\/p>

WHEREAS, Kyle Poore has utilized his experiences as an educator and first-responder to heighten the school district\u2019s security protocols; and<\/p>

WHEREAS, Kyle Poore works collaboratively with other departments and schools to develop and implement safety practices that align with industry best standards; and<\/p>

WHEREAS, Kyle Poore is valued, respected and admired among his colleagues, not only at Lincoln Public Schools, but also across the state of Nebraska, and the United States;<\/p>
