J.J. Toczek – Southeast High School Director of Athletics and Activities – was named the 2021-22 District I Athletic Director of the Year by the Nebraska State Athletic Administrators Association. Criteria for the award include having at least eight years of experience as an athletic administrator, being active both on the state and national level, and making special contributions toward secondary school athletics in Nebraska.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

J.J. Toczek has served as the Southeast High School Director of Athletics and Activities for nine years. During his time at Southeast, the Knights have had 70 student-participants honored with 1st Team Super-State\/All-State accolades, won 17 Heartland Athletic Conference Championships, 18 District Championships, and have made 53 state tournament appearances resulting in Girls Tennis Class \u201cA\u201d State Championships in 2016 and 2019, and Class \u201cA\u201d State Runner-up in 2014 in Boys Golf and in 2021 in Girls Tennis.<\/p>

J.J. has worked collaboratively to create the Lincoln Southeast SHIELD Student Leadership Program and Academic Support Program, and he facilitates the Heartland Athletic Conference Student Leadership Cadre Program.<\/p>

Under J.J.\u2019s leadership, Southeast High School\u2019s education-based athletics and activities program continues to grow and the school\u2019s athletic facilities continue to experience vital upgrades. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

That the Lincoln Board of Education adopt the following resolution:<\/p>

WHEREAS, J.J. Toczek, Southeast High School Director of Athletics and Activities has been named the 2021-22 District I Athletic Director of the Year by the Nebraska State Athletic Administrators Association; and<\/p>

WHEREAS, J.J. Toczek successfully facilitates extended learning opportunities through comprehensive athletic and activities programming at Southeast High School; and<\/p>

WHEREAS, J.J. Toczek has devoted his time and efforts in implementing leadership programs for students at Southeast and the Heartland Athletic Conference; and<\/p>

WHEREAS, J.J. Toczek is widely admired and respected among her peers, both on the state and national level;<\/p>

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Lincoln Board of Education does hereby congratulate J.J.
