AP and IB Visual Art Offerings at Lincoln High<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

The IB (International Baccalaureate) Diploma Program offers courses in Visual Arts. \u00a0Courses enable students to enjoy lifelong engagement in the arts, become informed practitioners and understand the dynamic and changing nature of the arts. Additionally,\u00a0students will explore diversity of the arts, express ideas with confidence and competence, and develop perceptual and analytical skills. Students will focus on three key areas: an exhibition of their work, a process portfolio and a comparative study.<\/p>

AP (Advanced Placement) coursework<\/a> is offered in Drawing, 2D Design and 3D Design. \u00a0Students focus on developing a strong portfolio that highlights the artist’s breadth, quality and concentration. Students may submit their final portfolio to the College Board’s AP review for potential college credit.<\/p>

Arts and Humanities Focus Program<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The Arts and Humanities Focus Program<\/a><\/i> is designed for high school students who possess a curiosity for learning and are committed to the arts and humanities. Students take at least two classes at their home high school prior to the start of the program each day.<\/span><\/p>
