Students ‘Go Green’ for Science

The LPS Sustainability team was thrilled to present a new ribbon at the 22nd annual LPS Science Fair – the ‘Going Green’ ribbon. Student projects that explored and environmental issue were presented this special green ribbon and commended for their focus on a very important topic. As a brand new component of the science fair, it was important to spread the word about why these ribbons were received. Each ribbon had a noted attached stating:

“Thanks for Going Green! It is important to understand human impacts on the environment and explore innovative ways to reduce that impact. Your project is being recognized for focusing on an environmental or “green” topic.”

14 students received the ‘Going Green’ ribbon for a range of projects including climate change, water pollution, and renewable energy.

Congratulations to all of the 2017 Going Green Ribbon recipients!
