Device Assisted Learning and Instruction

LPS supports the implementation of digital curriculum and systems for learning by ensuring teachers, students, staff and administrators have persistent access to a computing device sufficient to access and leverage these resources.

 

Benchmarks

2015-2016

  • 6th Grade students at all LPS Middle Schools, students in the International Baccalaureate program, students attending LPS Focus Programs (including Science Focus, Art Focus and The Career Academy) issued a Chromebook
  • High School labs refreshed
  • 3rd, 4th, and 5th Grade students at all LPS Elementary Schools issued a Chromebook (to use at school)
2016-2017
  • An additional grade level of students at all LPS Middle Schools issued a Chromebook
  • 9th-12th Grade students at two LPS High Schools issued a Chromebook
  • Certificated Staff laptops refreshed
  • Reclaimed Certificated Staff laptops repurposed to refresh Elementary and Middle School labs

2017-2018
  • Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd Grade classrooms at all LPS Elementary Schools receive a technology center with four devices with touch interfaces
  • An additional grade level of students at all LPS Middle Schools issued a Chromebook
  • 9th-12th Grade students at the remaining four LPS High Schools issued a Chromebook
  •  Administrator laptops refreshed
2018-2019
  • Chromebook refresh begins for 6th Grade students at all LPS Middle Schools and at LPS Focus Programs
2019-2020
  • Chromebook refresh continues for 3rd, 4th, and 5th Grade students in all LPS Elementary Schools, an additional grade level of students at all Middle Schools and 9th-12th Grade students at two LPS High Schools
  • Certificated Staff laptops refreshed
  • Office Staff desktops refreshed
2020-2021
  • Device refresh begins for Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd Grade classrooms at all LPS Elementary Schools
  • Chromebook refresh continues for an additional grade level of students at all Middle Schools and 9th-12th Grade students at the remaining four LPS High Schools
  • Administrator laptops refreshed
