All athletic practices scheduled at Lincoln Public Schools buildings – will be canceled Saturday.
Southwest “Showdown”
The Lincoln Southwest High School “SHOWDOWN” has been canceled. It will not be rescheduled this year.
All middle school activities called off
All Lincoln Public Schools Middle School Basketball, Middle School Speech and Debate, as well as the Saturday Science classes scheduled for Saturday are canceled.
Sing Around Nebraska
The Lincoln site for the “Sing Around Nebraska Festival Choir” – scheduled at St. Mark’s Church on Saturday, Feb. 4 – has been postponed.
Adams Elementary choir
Adams Elementary School choir will not sing Saturday at St. Mark’s Church.
Southwest basketball games
Saturday’s basketball game at Omaha Westside have been canceled. The boys games will be rescheduled.
Science Quiz Bowl in Wayne
Teams from Lincoln Public Schools will not be attending the Science Quiz Bowl in Wayne, Nebraska.

The LPS /LHS JV Wrestling Tournament on Tuesday 2/7/12 is still scheduled for 3:30 p.m. and officials need to arrive at 3 p.m.

The Little Dipper event WILL be held this evening (Friday). At that time participants and parents will receive additional information regarding tomorrow’s cancellation.
- Tonight’s clinic will be held as scheduled.
- The second practice scheduled for tomorrow has been moved to 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 9 in the practice gym.
- The performance part of the clinic scheduled for Saturday night has been moved to Friday, Feb. 10 during the Grand Island game.

The Wrestling Tournament in the Heartland Athletic Conference has been postponed until 3:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 6.
The event involves eight teams (Lincoln High, Southwest, Southeast, North Star, Northeast, East, Grand Island and Fremont) and will be at Lincoln High School.
Northeast Varsity basketball
The Lincoln Northeast High School Varsity girls and boys basketball games at Millard North have been postponed until Monday, Feb. 6. Girls at 5:30 p.m., Boys at 7:15 p.m. One bus leaving the school at 3:30 p.m.
